##Nepeta's Point Of View##

I watched Sollux as the kids took us to see this 'circus'. He's been really depressed since [Name] vanished. Not even his new legs would make him smile. "Cheer up, Sollux!" Jade patted him on the back, making him jump. "I'm sure [Name]'s fine! Besides, the circus'll make you laugh. The clowns and-" John 'bluh'd. "ANYWAY, the clowns and animals will make you laugh." He smiled tiredly. "Thankth, Jade." She smiled at him. I watched his back quietly. 'He won't be alright. He hasn't slept in so long... He's too stressed...' I felt a hand clamp onto my shoulder, making me turn to me meowrail. "Are you alright, Nepeta?" I nodded. "Yeah. Why?" He pursed his black lips. "You just seem distracted." I was about to say something, but Jade and John announced that we were here. "C'mon! Lets go get some seats up close!" We all ran inside, finding ring-side seats. The 'ring-leader', ad the kids call him, came out. "Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the [insert circus name here]! Our first act is..."

##Later##

We cheered as the last clown left. "Now, everyone! Welcome the newest eddition to our family! She's the singing chimera [Name]!" All of our heads snapped up. "[NAME]?!" A few of us yelled. Out came [Name] but... not how we remember her. She had a blindfold around her [eye color] eyes, a long, wrinkled and torn [fave color] dress, her skin was stitched in different places, and she... had strange horns on her head. They were green-ish, curved outwards, and pointed upwards. 'Oh my God...' I felt green tears fall down my face and wiped them away quickly. Some of the girls had tears streaming down their faces too. The boys held angry glares at the ring-leader. Sollux... oh poor Sollux... Yellow tears cascaded down his face and he had the most furious look in his eyes. It actually...scared me. Even Vriskers was shocked at the amount of anger Sollux held. "How...HOW COULD THEY DO THAT TO HER?!" He screeched, making all of us jump slightly. 'Sollux...'

I felt the whip connect with my back, making me fall. "Get back in your cage, runt." The ring-master snarled at me. I felt my way over to the cage and got in, hearing it lock behind me. "Now, come meet our chimera up close! Take pictures do what you want!" I heard him take money while cameras flashed. Small rocks pelted me, adding more bruises onto my pale skin. As the guests left to bother another poor creature trapped here, someone called out to me. "[Name]! [Name]!!" I put my head up. "Who's there?" "Its me! John!" I smiled, tears welling up in my useless eyes. "J-John?!" I crawled closer to the voice, putting my hand through the bars. I felt a warm hand grab mine. "Yeah, its me! Guys! Over here!" "'Guys'? Who else is here?" I heard multiple footsteps, and people crying. "We're all here, [Name]." Jade's cracking voice said, making my smile wider. The tears fell, soaking through my blindfold and down my face. "Let's get the blind fold off of you..." Rose mumbled, and I felt hands around my head. My eyes widened as she started untying the knot. "N-no! DON'T!" Too late. I heard them gasp as the fabric fell off of my face.

I couldn't see it, but I knew all of the scratches and marks that were around my eyes. I heard Feferi cry out in shock. "W-who did this?!" I laughed bitterly. "Who didn't?" It was quiet for a minute, before John's hand was replaced by a rougher, yet gentler one. "Don't worry [Name]," Sollux. Oh, sweet Sollux. I was so happy to hear his voice. "We'll get you out of here." My eyes widened again. "S-Sollux, they'll find me. I tried escaping once. They found me. They punished me." I shivered at the memory. I heard the lock brake and the cage open. I felt arms wrap around me and pick me up. Once I was set on the ground, someone pulled me away. "Where are we going?!" "We're gonna get you changed." Jade said. She got me out of my dress and put me in different clothes. "Dave!" Footsteps came up. "Let me use your hoodie." I heard fabri ruffle. "Arms up." I did so, and the jacket fell over me. I felt someone pull the hoodie up. Jade and Dave grabbed my arms. "Let's hurry." "Hey?! Where'd she go?!" 'Oh no!' I grit my teeth, trying not to cry.

"Quick; who's the fastest runner?" "That's be me!" Nepeta's voice rang. "[Name], get on Nepeta'th back. thhe'll get you out of here fathter." I nodded. I heard Nepeta walk over and kneel in front of me. Dave and Jade helped me up, and Nepeta's arms wrapped around my legs. I put mine around her neck. "We'll see you later." Nepeta said. She took off. "...Thanks..." I put my head on her shoulder, careful of my horns. She giggled. "No problem [cat nickname]! That's what friends are furr!" Oh, how I missed those cat puns. I felt tears fall again, out of happieness this time. 'Thanks everyone...'
